Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for young people with SEND across various settings in the UK. Roles are available as Education Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, and Education Mentor, with ongoing interviews and multiple positions.

You will work in-home, in community settings, or at schools, crafting engaging, age-appropriate activities that help learners thrive.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex additional needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH, etc).
• DBS (Enhanced) and 2+ professional references recommended or required.
• DBS enhanced and references preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings with creative, interest-based activities.
• Develop strong relationships and support life skills, confidence and independence.
• Apply trauma-informed approaches; support emotional regulation and adapt strategies as needed.
• Provide feedback and track progress to adjust support for each learner.
