Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant for a welcoming DN6 Doncaster school. You will provide targeted support to pupils, assist the class teacher, and help pupils access the curriculum.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, with a long-term placement and competitive daily rate. The successful candidate will hold an enhanced DBS and two professional references; safeguarding checks will be completed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school, educational, or support setting.
• Patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting pupils.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Genuine passion for education and supporting children's development.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group support to pupils who require additional assistance with their learning.
• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Assist pupils with learning, behavioural, and social needs to access the curriculum effectively.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement within the classroom.
• Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, confidence, and independence.
