Job summary

Cheshire College South & West is seeking a Learner Wellbeing and Inclusion Coach to support 16–19 learners across Ellesmere Port and Chester Campuses. You will run one-to-one and group activities to tackle barriers to attendance, wellbeing and achievement.

You will collaborate with safeguarding teams, tutors and external agencies, recording progress and maintaining GDPR-compliant records while providing sustainable wellbeing strategies for lasting impact.

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent.
• GCSE Grade C (4/5) in Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Experience of working in a supportive environment.
• Experience of working with disadvantaged and/or vulnerable young people.
• Ability to develop relationships with external agencies.
• Excellent safeguarding procedures; enhanced DBS check; strong digital skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify learners at risk of not achieving learning goals and coordinate support.
• Assist with attendance, behaviour, safety and personal circumstances to improve outcomes.
• Provide sustainable strategies to improve learners' lives and resilience.
• Support self-management for anxiety, exams stress, relationships, and wellbeing.
• Operate a managed drop-in facility and assist with safeguarding support requests.
• Establish relationships with external agencies and maintain GDPR-compliant records.
