Job summary

Cheshire College South and West in Crewe seeks an enthusiastic Learner Wellbeing and Inclusion Coach to support 16-19 learners with attendance, wellbeing and achievement. You will deliver one‑to‑one and group sessions, building a supportive environment across campus.

You will collaborate with safeguarding teams, tutors and external agencies, providing strategies that last beyond the programme. A Level 4 qualification, GCSEs and DBS checks are required, with an emphasis on safeguarding and

Qualifications

Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject.
GCSE Grade C (4/5) in Maths and English.
Experience of working in a supportive environment.
Experience of working and communicating effectively with young people who are disadvantaged and/or vulnerable.
Ability to develop relationships with external agencies.
Excellent working knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
Excellent digital skills.
Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

Identify learners (16-19 years old) at risk of not achieving their learning goals.
Support learners with attendance, disaffection, safety and personal circumstances threatening achievement.
Provide sustainable strategies to improve learners' lives and give long-lasting action plans.
Support learners with self-management for anxiety, self-harm, exams stress, sexual health and emotional regulation.
Provide a managed drop‑in facility and assist learners requesting wellbeing and safeguarding support.
Establish excellent relationships with external agencies.
Ensure documentation is compliant with GDPR and records maintained.
