Job summary

Channel Islands Co-operative Society Limited is seeking a Learning & Development Officer / Business Partner to join the Jersey-based People Team. You will lead and support the delivery of high-quality learning initiatives and help evolve colleagues across the Society.

You will partner across the business to implement the L&D strategy, design programmes, and maintain training records. The role combines development enablement with stakeholder collaboration in a friendly, values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Learning & Development is essential.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable using IT systems and administrative processes.
• Interest in Learning & Development or HR.
• Previous experience in L&D is essential.

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering learning and development programmes.
• Creating and preparing training materials.
• Collaborating with Stakeholders, People Business Partners, and external providers.
• Supporting managers and in-store trainers with training needs and queries.
• Coordinating mandatory training such as First Aid, Fire Marshal and other Health & Safety courses.
• Maintaining accurate training records and systems.
• Managing the L&D and Inductions inbox and responding to queries promptly.
• Producing and supporting monthly training KPIs and reports.
• Leading L&D projects including careers fairs and customer service initiatives.
