Job summary

Teaching Personnel are recruiting an Intervention Support Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Pilling, Lancashire. You will deliver targeted interventions across KS1-KS2, working one-to-one and in small groups to support pupil progress.

You will collaborate with teachers, encourage engagement, and help create a nurturing learning environment. Full-time, school hours, with access to CPD and ongoing consultant support.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or equivalent
• Experience working with children in a school, childcare, tutoring, coaching or youth work setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned intervention sessions in Reading, Phonics, Writing and Mathematics.
• Provide one-to-one support for pupils requiring additional assistance.
• Support small groups of children to help close learning gaps and improve attainment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to monitor and track pupil progress.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and engagement in learning.
• Assist within the classroom when intervention sessions are not taking place.
• Help create a nurturing, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
