Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd in Leeds LS15 is seeking a proactive Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school for a full-time, long-term placement.

You will support the class teacher in KS1/KS2, run small group interventions in literacy and numeracy, and provide 1:1 support including SEND pupils.

The role requires at least 6 months experience in a UK primary school, a calm professional manner, and strong behaviour management to hit the ground running.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in a UK primary school.
• Confident supporting phonics, reading and basic maths.
• Calm, proactive and able to build rapport quickly.
• Strong behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher across KS1 or KS2.
• Run small group interventions (literacy & numeracy).
• Provide 1:1 support where needed, including SEND pupils.
• Help maintain a positive, structured classroom environment.
