Job summary

Lewisham Council is seeking a Repairs Officer to manage and coordinate repair requests for housing stock. You will liaise with residents, contractors and internal teams, arranging appointments, monitoring works and keeping accurate records to deliver a high-quality repairs service.

The role is based in London with a hybrid working pattern. You should be organised, accurate and customer-focused, able to handle competing priorities and ensure safety and reliability in service delivery.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including English and Maths as a baseline qualification.
• Relevant qualification in housing, repairs, building maintenance, construction, customer service or business administration is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate repair requests from residents from start to finish.
• Liaise with residents, contractors and internal teams; arrange appointments and monitor works.
• Maintain accurate records and update systems; support delivery of a high-quality repairs service.
• Ensure homes are safe and well maintained with a professional, customer-focused approach.
