Job summary

Kingsleigh Primary School invites applications for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work with our teaching team. The role focuses on mornings with KS2 pupils in a small, supportive classroom, and afternoons across the school providing ELSA interventions.

You will be part of pastoral and safeguarding teams, helping pupils voice their needs and progress. The post requires prior HLTA experience, teamwork, and good IT and record-keeping skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or similar role.
• Ability to support ELSA interventions across the school.
• Strong teamwork and communication with colleagues and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and adapt lessons for small groups under guidance of Inclusion team.
• Use questioning to ensure pupils make strong progress.
• Provide high-quality feedback that pupils act on.
• Consistently apply the school's behaviour policy.
• Support safeguarding and contribute to pastoral work and DBS checks.
