This is an exciting opportunity to join Kingsleigh Primary School as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant working alongside our existing teaching team.
The role will predominantly be to support a small group of Key Stage 2 children in the mornings in the Cove. This is a classroom that supports no more than 17 children, all of whom have cognition and learning needs and are working approximately two to three years below their current year group. Supported by an HLTA and a TA, children in The Cove access lessons tailored to their stage of development rather than their age.
Daily nurture time and a carefully adapted curriculum help children build confidence and take small but important steps forward in their learning. The successful candidate will also be part of our pastoral team, supporting ELSA interventions across the school and working closely with the inclusion and safeguarding teams to ensure pupils’ voices are heard and inform the support they receive. In the afternoon you will support individual children across the school by undertaking ELSA interventions with them.
