Job summary

Brookside Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with HLTA responsibilities to join our supportive staff. The role suits a qualified teacher, experienced HLTA, or ambitious TA aiming to develop HLTA training.

Part-time, with at least three days, including a Friday. Morning KS1 support in reading, writing, phonics and maths; afternoons include HLTA duties; potential involvement with EYFS/KS2. SEND support and occasional midday supervision provided.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher or HLTA with experience in supporting learning
• Experience with delivering targeted interventions and small group teaching
• Ability to support pupils with SEND and work collaboratively with staff

Responsibilities

• Support mornings in Key Stage 1 with reading, writing, phonics and maths
• Undertake HLTA duties three afternoons per week
• Provide classroom cover as needed and support with midday supervision
• Deliver targeted interventions and 1:1 support where appropriate
• Collaborate with inclusion staff to meet pupils' needs and contribute to school life
