Job summary

Rainham Village Primary School is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning across the curriculum. You will work closely with teachers to prepare resources and learning environments, and support pupils with targeted interventions.

The role requires HLTA status or equivalent, a good understanding of ASD, and the ability to maintain a calm, patient approach while safeguarding students. DP and CPD opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils and delivering targeted interventions for KS1/EYFS.
• Good understanding of ASD and use of coreboards.
• HLTA status or equivalent or higher qualification.
• Behaviour is a form of communication.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team with teachers and leaders.
• Commitment to CPD and continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers by preparing resources and learning environments.
• Support pupils and manage wellbeing with safeguarding in mind.
• Lead group support for targeted SEND pupils.
• Liaise with the SEN teacher and school staff.
