Job summary

Pathway Academy Zone in North Northamptonshire is seeking a Core Subject Tutor to deliver English, Maths and Science to KS3/KS4 learners who may face barriers to engagement. You will work in small groups and 1:1 settings, shaping a broader curriculum and contributing to personal development and real-life readiness.

You will join a pioneering new school with strong leadership, a calm, adaptive approach, and opportunities to influence curriculum design and CPD.

Qualifications

Experience working with young people, ideally within alternative provision or similar settings.
Ability to deliver English, Maths and Science to KS3/KS4 level.
Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
Teaching qualification or relevant subject-based degree.
Desirable: SEN or SEMH experience; Team Teach or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging sessions across English, Maths and Science (KS3/KS4).
Support delivery of wider curriculum areas including PSHE, RSHE, Humanities, RE and PE.
Adapting teaching approaches to suit individual learning needs.
Working closely with learners with SEMH and additional needs.
Building strong relationships to improve behaviour and engagement.
Monitoring progress and maintaining clear, accurate records.
Supporting learners towards positive outcomes and progression.
