Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking qualified Core Subjects Tutors to support learners in the BCP area through tailored 1:1 tuition in English, Maths and Science. QTS or PGCE is required, with at least 6 months of educational experience.

You will work flexibly with Local Authorities to help students rebuild confidence, engagement and independence in learning, with a September start and competitive hourly rates of £25-£30.

Qualifications

• QTS or PGCE qualification.
• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including teaching, tutoring, learning support, mentoring, teaching assistant, or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of one or more core subjects: English, Maths, or Science.
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across the BCP area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging 1:1 tutoring sessions in English, Maths or Science.
• Support learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs where appropriate.
• Work flexibly to support Local Authorities and families.

We're looking for QTS or PGCE-qualified Tutors to support children and young people across the BCP area through tailored 1:1 tuition in English, Maths, and Science.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide personalised support to learners who require alternative educational provision. Many of the students we work with have experienced barriers to education and benefit from a flexible, individualised approach that helps them rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve positive outcomes.

Requirements

• QTS or PGCE qualification
