Great Ormond Street Hospital seeks an experienced Band 5 Healthcare/Biomedical Scientist to support Immunology and Gene Therapy laboratories. You will perform core scientific and interpretive work to deliver the diagnostic service.

You will supervise junior staff, handle complex result analysis and reporting, QC monitoring, equipment troubleshooting, and help with stock management and service user communication.

Competenze

• BSc Biomedical Science or equivalent as assessed by the HCPC.
• HCPC registration.
• Experience working in an ISO15189 accredited Immunology Laboratory.
• Experience in performing routine diagnostic assays used in Serology, Molecular, Cellular & Immunophenotyping.
• Experience of flow cytometry.
• Experience in Molecular techniques such as ddPCR, DNA/RNA Extraction.
• Experience of Quality Management Systems.
• Experience and knowledge of Clinical Laboratory Health and Safety requirements.
