Job summary

Westray Recruitment Consultants Ltd is seeking a Materials Controller for a site-based role in Immingham. This position blends office work with hands-on material control in a manufacturing environment, and may involve manual handling and storage-area activities.

You will coordinate material requirements with Planning Lead, Stock Control, Production, Purchasing and Logistics teams to ensure timely availability and movement of raw materials, packaging and production consumables to support the

Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience in planning, purchasing, logistics or materials coordination.
Good computer literacy.
Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
Understanding of production planning.
Knowledge of inventory management principles.

Responsibilities

Review production schedules and identify material requirements.
Ensure materials are available to support planned production.
Highlight actual or potential shortages to the Planning Lead.
Coordinate material availability to minimise production downtime.
Work closely with Production Supervisors to understand changing material requirements.
Coordinate the timely movement of materials to production areas.
Assist with updating ERP/MRP systems with material information.
Maintain planning spreadsheets and reports.
Produce shortage reports for daily production meetings.
Identify opportunities to improve material flow.
