Job summary

Unknown company is seeking a Materials Controller to support its Goods In and Stores function at the West of Scotland Science Park. The role involves receiving, checking and storing incoming materials, booking them into the Cardex system, and maintaining accurate stock records.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Goods In, Stores, Warehouse or Manufacturing, with strong attention to detail, good computer skills and the ability to work methodically within established procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in Goods In, Stores, Warehouse or Manufacturing environments.
• Ability to check deliveries against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in physical and system records.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming goods and record them in the system.
• Check deliveries against purchase orders for correct items and quantities.
• Inspect for damage or discrepancies and report issues.
• Ensure all expected items are present before goods‑in completion.
• Book incoming goods into Cardex or other ERP/WMS systems.
• Label, store and locate materials accurately.
• Maintain stock records and move materials between Goods In, Stores and production areas.
• Follow health, safety, quality and procedural standards.
