The Bodmin Jail Hotel is seeking a Tour Guard to create an immersive theatre experience for guests. You will embody prison officer personas and lead tours highlighting Bodmin Jail’s paranormal and historical significance, delivering memorable storytelling.

Ideal candidates will bring history interest, theatre/performance experience, and excellent communication skills. The role offers flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, in a unique Cornish setting.

Qualifications

• GCSE English or equivalent is required.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.
• A flair for history is desirable.
• Experience in theatre, dance or performance is preferred.
• Good organisation skills are important for multi‑tasking.

Responsibilities

• Guide groups through the Hotel History Tour and Ghost Walks.
• Engage with guests during dinner service, staying in character.
• Interact with guests in a lively, interactive manner while staying safe.
• Handle guest inquiries and concerns professionally.
• Follow guests and roam guest facing areas while in persona.
