The Bodmin Jail Hotel is seeking a Night Assistant to ensure the safety, security and comfort of guests overnight. You will deliver outstanding service, handle inquiries, and support a smooth check-in/check-out process.

The Role:

As a Night Assistant, you’llplay a crucial role in ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of our guests during the overnight hours, including delivering outstanding customer service, handling guest inquiries and requests, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process and responding to guests via phone, emails and social media.

Responsibilities include:

• Handle guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently, including the issuance of room keys, payment processing, and providing necessary information.
• Monitor security cameras, conduct regular property patrols, and ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room types, hotel facilities, and local attractions (including the Bodmin Jail Attraction).
• Monitor room availability and manage room inventory to maximise occupancy and revenue.
• Address guest concerns and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Complete nightly reports and balance the day's financial transactions.
• Assist with administrative duties, including filing and data entry.
