Job summary

Wake The Tiger in London is seeking a Gift Shop Manager to run the day-to-day shop operations, ensuring every visitor enjoys an exceptional experience. You will oversee inventory control, product sourcing, and replenishment to maintain optimal stock levels.

You will shape the shop’s look with creative visual merchandising, drive sales, and create an engaging, immersive environment for customers.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused approach and enjoy working with the public.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and active listening.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in stock control and inventory management.
• Cash handling experience including cashing up.
• Interest in visual merchandising and immersive, narrative merchandise.
• Willingness to work weekends and evenings.
• Experience using design platforms such as Adobe Photoshop.

Responsibilities

• Line manage shop staff, provide training and guidance.
• Assist with recruitment, induction and training of new staff.
• Maintain shop documentation, policies and procedures.
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve feedback.
• Manage stock orders and inventory records (Shopify).
• Conduct regular stock takes to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with marketing on promotions and displays.
• Update POS signage with design team.
• Source new product lines for approval by Head of Commercial.
• Brief designers and merch suppliers for new products.
• Maintain online store and fulfill online orders.
