Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Stechford, Birmingham. The role involves supporting primary-aged children with autism/ASD and EHCPs to access learning at an appropriate level.

The successful candidate will have HLTA qualification or equivalent, experience with autism/ASD and SEND/EHCPs, and a patient, adaptable approach. This is a full-time, long-term position with immediate start.

Qualifications

• A relevant Teaching Assistant / HLTA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children with autism / ASD.
• Experience working with children with SEND and EHCPs.
• A strong understanding of supporting pupils with individual learning needs.
• A patient, adaptable and positive approach.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a school team.
