Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in the Bolton area, starting in September. This is a full-time role in a specialist school that supports children and young people with complex learning difficulties, Autism, and physical disabilities.

As an HLTA, you will collaborate with teachers and therapists to create engaging learning experiences and provide essential support to enhance pupil confidence and independence. The role offers competitive salary and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience within an educational setting.
  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
  • Strong understanding of differentiated learning and inclusive practices.

  • A genuine passion for helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead learning activities and interventions for individuals and groups.
  • Support teachers with lesson planning and delivery tailored to pupils' needs.
  • Promote pupil engagement and confidence inside and outside the classroom.
  • Support pupils with complex SEND and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback.
  • Assist with behaviour support and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with families and professionals to ensure best outcomes.
