Job summary

W Talent in Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced Production Planner to manage schedules and coordinate planning across manufacturing, materials, purchasing and supply chain. This fixed-term role supports aerospace/auto manufacturing with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach.

The ideal candidate will develop and maintain production plans, monitor progress, and ensure on-time delivery while managing material availability and data accuracy. Immediate start preferred in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning in industrial manufacturing, preferably aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and scheduling.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and planning tools.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
• Available to start immediately or on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules in line with demand and capacity.
• Coordinate production plans with manufacturing, materials, purchasing and supply chain.
• Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks and resolve scheduling issues.
• Manage material availability, inventory levels and production requirements.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to meet targets and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate planning data and provide production performance updates.
