Hunter Selection is helping a major global manufacturer in Blaenau Gwent recruit a Production Planner. The role focuses on creating weekly production schedules, releasing SAP orders, and coordinating with external suppliers to maintain steady output.

We seek 3–5 years in production planning within automotive, aerospace, or highly regulated sectors, with strong SAP proficiency and a procurement qualification preferred. Excellent training and career progression are offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of production planning and material procurement experience in automotive, aerospace, or highly regulated industries.
• Proven hands‑on SAP proficiency for planning and scheduling activities.
• Purchasing or supply chain procurement qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and optimise weekly production schedules for multiple production lines.
• Release production orders in SAP based on material availability, capacity constraints and customer demand.
• Generate and release material scheduling agreements to external suppliers using SAP.
• Manage incoming goods flow to prevent warehouse congestion and align deliveries with live production needs.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and expedite shortages to avoid assembly line stoppages.
