Job summary

W Talent in Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced Production Planner to manage schedules and coordinate planning across manufacturing, materials, purchasing and supply chain. This fixed-term role supports aerospace/auto manufacturing with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach.

The ideal candidate will develop and maintain production plans, monitor progress, and ensure on-time delivery while managing material availability and data accuracy. Immediate start preferred in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning in industrial manufacturing, preferably aerospace.

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Production Planner to join an established manufacturing business based in Wolverhampton on an initial 3-6 month fixed-term contract.

Location: Wolverhampton

Contract: 3-6 months

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

Start Date: Immediate

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Production Planner with experience in Aerospace or automotive manufacturing to support production operations, coordinate planning activities and help ensure customer demand is met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules in line with customer demand and manufacturing capacity.
• Coordinate production plans with manufacturing, materials, purchasing and supply chain teams.
• Monitor production progress, identify potential bottlenecks and proactively resolve scheduling issues.
• Manage material availability, inventory levels and production requirements.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure production targets and delivery deadlines are achieved.
• Maintain accurate planning data and provide updates on production performance.
