Job summary

W Talent is seeking an experienced Production Planner for a manufacturing business in Wolverhampton. The role covers creating and maintaining production schedules, coordinating across functions and ensuring on-time delivery on a 3-6 month fixed-term basis. Start date is immediate.

You will coordinate with manufacturing, materials and supply chain teams, monitor progress and resolve bottlenecks to meet customer demand. Experience in aerospace or automotive environments is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Previous production planning experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (aerospace/automotive preferred).
• Strong understanding of production scheduling and material planning.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and planning tools.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Production Planner to join an established manufacturing business based in Wolverhampton on an initial 3-6 month fixed-term contract.

Location: Wolverhampton

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Production Planner with experience in Aerospace or automotive manufacturing to support production operations, coordinate planning activities and help ensure customer demand is met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain production schedules in line with customer demand and manufacturing capacity.
• Coordinate production plans with manufacturing, materials, purchasing and supply chain teams.
• Monitor production progress, identify potential bottlenecks and proactively resolve scheduling issues.
• Manage material availability, inventory levels and production requirements.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure production targets and delivery deadlines are achieved.
• Maintain accurate planning data and provide updates on production performance.

• Previous experience in production planning within an industrial manufacturing environment, ideally aerospace.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling and material planning.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools.
