Job summary

M-Tec Engineering Solutions is seeking an experienced Interim Production Planner to join our automotive manufacturing operation in Wolverhampton. This short-term assignment focuses on production scheduling, material availability and meeting customer delivery requirements.

The ideal candidate will have manufacturing planning experience, ERP/MRP knowledge and strong organisational skills. Immediate start, circa £35 per hour, initially 3 months with potential extension.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and communicate production plans and schedules.

• Review capacity and resource needs to optimise production efficiency.
• Monitor customer orders, lead times and delivery performance.
• Maintain accurate planning data within the ERP/MRP systems.

M-Tec Engineering Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Production Planner to join a growing automotive manufacturing business based in Wolverhampton.

Following an internal promotion within the business, an opportunity has arisen for a capable Production Planner to support the company's ongoing growth and development.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planning professional to join an evolving manufacturing environment, taking responsibility for production scheduling, material availability and ensuring customer delivery requirements are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and communicate production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.
• Monitor production progress, identify potential bottlenecks and adjust plans accordingly.
• Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Materials and Logistics to ensure material availability and minimise disruption.
• Review capacity, workloads and resource requirements to optimise production efficiency.
• Monitor customer orders, lead times and delivery performance.
• Maintain accurate planning data within the company's ERP/MRP systems.
• Liaise with internal departments to resolve scheduling issues and ensure production priorities are understood across the business.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in a Production Planning role within a manufacturing environment.
• Automotive manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of production scheduling, materials planning and capacity management.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing production priorities.
• Available to start at short notice.
