Job summary

Perrys Ford Chesterfield is offering an IMI Level 3 Service Technician Apprenticeship. You will be employed by Perrys and train through the IMI programme, gaining hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing and maintaining Ford vehicles while developing customer service skills.

The role includes block release training at The Henry Ford Academy with travel and overnight stays away from home, 40 hours per week, and a start date in August. A driving licence and GCSEs are preferred.

Qualifications

• Aged 16+.
• GCSE Maths and English (A–C/9–4) or equivalent.
• Strong interest in servicing and repairing vehicles.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home for training.
• Basic IT skills.
• Working towards or holding a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
• Carry out servicing, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
• Support fault-finding using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Work safely and follow dealership health & safety procedures.
• Record work completed, parts used, and service activity accurately.
• Attend all required IMI training and assessments.
• Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
