Job summary

Peoples Ford Bootle are offering a Level 3 Service Technician Apprenticeship, combining paid employment with IMI-approved training to develop hands-on skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Ford vehicles.

You will be employed by Peoples and train at The Henry Ford Academy, with a 40-hour week and approximately 20% Off-the-Job learning. Entry requirements include GCSEs in Maths and English; driving licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (A-C/9-4) or equivalent.
• Strong interest in servicing and repairing vehicles including petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric.
• Good problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home for training.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
• Carry out servicing, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
• Support fault-finding using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Work safely and follow dealership health & safety procedures.
• Record work completed, parts used, and service activity accurately.
• Attend all required IMI training and assessments.
• Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
