Job summary

Peoples Ford Prescot is offering an IMI-approved Level 3 Service Technician Apprenticeship, combining paid employment with hands-on Ford vehicle diagnostics and repairs under the IMI framework.

You will work 40 hours per week, attend block-release training at The Henry Ford Academy, and gain a nationally recognised IMI qualification. Entry requires GCSE Maths/English, interest in servicing, and willingness to travel for training.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at required levels (predicted acceptable).
• Interest in servicing and repairing vehicles (petrol/diesel/hybrid/electric).
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home for training.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.
• Carry out servicing, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
• Support fault-finding using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Work safely and follow dealership health & safety procedures.
• Record work completed, parts used, and service activity accurately.
• Attend all required IMI training and assessments.
• Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
