Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Imaging Clinical Support Worker (Band 3) for Royal Lancaster Infirmary, Lancaster. The role supports Radiologists, Radiographers and Nurses in delivering safe patient care across imaging services.

The post is part-time (30 hours/week) with rotating shifts, including early/late slots. NVQ Level 3 Radiography support and cannulation/venepuncture training are valued; prior radiology or imaging experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Good general education with English and Maths (GCSE Grade C/4 or above).
• NVQ Level 3 Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiography support or equivalent.
• Trained in cannulation and venepuncture.
• Experience in healthcare/patient-facing environment.
• Experience in Radiology/imaging settings desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support Radiologists, Radiographers and Radiology Nurses in patient care.
• Assist with ultrasound, CT, MRI and interventional radiology activities.
• Undertake venepuncture and cannulation after training.
• Chaperone patients and assist day-to-day imaging operations.
• Manage appointments and liaise with wards via RIS.
