Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking two Clinical Support Workers to join the Radiology team. You will rotate through both the IR suite and Fluoroscopy suite, supporting Radiographers clinically and with administrative tasks as needed. NVQ level 3 is desirable, but full training will be provided.

Good communication and basic IT skills are essential. We value a flexible approach and commitment to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Basic education in English and maths is required.
• Basic I.T skills are required.
• NVQ level 3 or relevant experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to patients undergoing Radiological examinations.
• Maintain cleanliness of the department with the team.
• Be aware of contrast media used and assist with cannulation if needed.
• Assist with stock control and ordering of basic consumables.
• Liaise with wards regarding inpatient appointments and preparation for examinations.
• Assist the Consultant Radiologists during interventional procedures.
• Explain procedures and assist with dressing and undressing of patients.
• Assist patients on and off examination tables and ensure comfort, privacy and dignity.
• Follow Health and Safety regulations and report hazards.
• Suggest improvements to department protocols and adhere to Trust policies.
