Job summary

IKEA Gruppe in Edinburgh is seeking a Home Planner to bring the ambience, inspiration and quality of the IKEA showroom directly into customers' homes. You will meet customers in their homes to design kitchens or wardrobes tailored to their needs.

The role is full-time, based in Edinburgh, and requires a passion for home furnishing, strong customer focus and diary management. You will work 39 hours per week, including evenings and alternate weekends.

Qualifications

  • Stay up to date on IKEA Services and Product Range to meet customer needs.
  • Bring the ambience and quality of the IKEA showroom into customers' homes.

Job description

At IKEA we are working to make our products and services more accessible to customers. We are looking for a Home Planner to bring the ambience, inspiration and quality of the IKEA showroom directly into customer's homes. If you would like to meet customers in their own homes and help them design their dream kitchen or plan a wardrobe with their individual needs in mind then we are looking for you to join our team.

WHAT WE OFFER
  • The starting salary for this role is £28,120 per annum pro rata, based on skills and experience.
  • Full Time: 39 Hours working 5 days per week including evenings and alternate weekends.

For insurance purposes applicants for this role need to be over the age of 25 & have held a drivers licence for 2 years+.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
  • You are someone who listens to the customer needs and offers innovative solutions to meet them.
  • You are someone who enjoys working on your own initiative with the autonomy to manage your diary of appointments.
  • You have experience working with a variety of computer programmes including Microsoft Office suite and Planning Tools.
  • You enjoying following home furnishing trends and customer buying behaviors to provide relevant solutions to our customers.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
  • You will be responsible for the full customer experience from booking the first appointment, planning and through to payment being taken.
  • You will engage with our customers in their homes identifying their needs, inspiring and advising them on the best solutions for their life at home.
  • You will keep yourself up to date on IKEA Services and Product Range to offer solutions and services that meet customer needs.
  • You will bring the ambience, inspiration and quality of the IKEA showroom directly into customer's homes.
  • You will work closely with sales targets and other KPI's.
