Job summary

Tolley, a leading tax research provider within LexisNexis, is seeking a Tax Writer specialising in Inheritance Tax to develop practical guidance and AI-driven workflows for practitioners. You will update Tolley+ content and collaborate with the commissioning team to shape content strategy.

Ideal candidates have strong IHT knowledge, excellent English writing, and the ability to translate complex tax concepts into clear guidance. Flexible hours and supportive team culture are offered within Relx.

Qualifications

• CTA / STEP qualified (or equivalent).
• A good technical knowledge of IHT, Trusts, Estates and Personal Tax, both advisory and compliance.
• Strong AI fluency, with the ability to use AI tools effectively and critically in tax research, analysis and content creation.
• Strong English writing skills.
• Ability to communicate complex tax concepts in an understandable way.

Responsibilities

• Write and update Tolley+ content, including in-depth research material and practical guidance.
• Help develop and review AI-powered tax workflows, ensuring they reflect sound tax analysis and how practitioners work.
• Work with Tolley’s Commissioning team on externally commissioned IHT content.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of Tolley’s tax offering alongside the Director of Content and the wider business.
