Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability, availability and security of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) services. You will establish and own SLOs for joiner/mover/leaver, provisioning, deprovisioning and certification, collaborating with product, platform and application teams to ensure IAM is scalable, observable and secure.

• Identifies and eliminates operational toil through automation, improving reliability and efficiency of identity lifecycle and provisioning processes.
• Develops performance measures and reliability targets using service data and telemetry to drive continual service improvement.
• Evaluates and implements improvements to IGA platforms and services balancing reliability, scalability, security and user experience.

Job Description Summary

A Lead SRE is accountable for the reliability, availability, performance and security of a portfolio of Identity Governance Administration (IGA) services. They own and manage service level objectives for capabilities such as joiner mover leaver processes, access requests, provisioning, deprovisioning, and certification, working through their product team to drive operational excellence. They champion SRE principles across the IAM estate, ensuring services are resilient, observable and scalable, while collaborating closely with application teams, platform teams and business consumers to deliver secure, compliant and frictionless access management capabilities.

Job Description

Leads the reliability, availability and operational performance of Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) services, including identity lifecycle management, provisioning, deprovisioning, access certification and role management capabilities. Identifies and eliminates operational toil through automation, improving the reliability and efficiency of identity lifecycle, access governance and provisioning processes. Contributes to IAM and security control frameworks, ensuring operational controls, monitoring and recovery capabilities support compliance, audit and security requirements. Leads teams responsible for the support and continuous improvement of IAM and IGA services, ensuring platforms can meet current and future business demand. Develops performance measures and reliability targets, using service data and telemetry to drive continual service improvement. Evaluates and implements improvements to IGA platforms and services, balancing reliability, scalability, security and user experience. Uses observability, monitoring and operational analytics to identify service risks and reliability issues, driving remediation before customer impact occurs. Optimises platform capacity, resilience and operational processes, ensuring IAM services remain sustainable, performant and cost effective. Establishes testing, validation and recovery strategies for IAM and IGA services, including lifecycle processes, access governance controls, integrations and disaster recovery capabilities.
