Job summary

Skipton Building Society is seeking a Platform Manager for Identity to shape and evolve a critical technology capability. You will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, define the platform roadmap and drive improvements that ensure secure, reliable and scalable services for colleagues and members.

The role combines leadership, strategy and technology, with hybrid working and a focus on delivering value while meeting regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading platform, engineering or technology teams within a complex environment.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills, with a proven ability to develop high-performing teams.
• Experience defining technology roadmaps and aligning delivery to strategic objectives.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence colleagues at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Defining and evolving the Identity platform roadmap, aligned to business priorities and wider technology strategy.
• Leading and developing a multidisciplinary engineering team, creating an environment where people can learn, grow and perform at their best.
• Driving continuous improvement across delivery, reliability, quality and platform performance.
• Owning platform priorities and making informed decisions that balance customer outcomes, technical evolution and operational stability.
• Ensuring the platform operates securely and effectively whilst meeting regulatory, risk and compliance requirements.
• Managing operational performance, reducing service disruption and improving resilience across Identity services.
• Building strong relationships with engineering, architecture, security and business teams to maximise platform value.
