Smile Education is supporting a Cannock-area secondary school to appoint a dedicated ICT Teacher. You will plan, deliver and assess engaging ICT/Computing lessons across the secondary age range, including GCSE level where required.

We are seeking an ECT or fully qualified ICT/Computing Teacher with strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management and effective communication. Experience with SEND and differentiation is valued, and applicants should be motivated to help students develop

Qualifications

Job description

Smile Education are currently working with a welcoming secondary school in the Cannock area who are looking to appoint a dedicated ICT Teacher. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging ICT/Computing lessons in line with school expectations.
  • Teach ICT/Computing across the secondary age range, including GCSE level where required.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of SEND pupils and those requiring additional support.
  • Develop students' digital literacy, technical skills and confidence using technology.
  • Encourage students to develop their problem-solving, analytical and independent learning skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the development of the ICT/Computing curriculum.
The School Are Looking For
  • An ECT or fully qualified ICT/Computing Teacher.
  • Previous experience teaching ICT, Computing or Computer Science within a UK secondary school.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a good understanding of the relevant curriculum.
  • Experience teaching at GCSE level would be advantageous.
  • A confident, professional and engaging approach to teaching.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to supporting student progress.
  • The ability to motivate students and develop their confidence and understanding of ICT and Computing.
