Tradewind Education are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of ICT/Computing to join a large and welcoming secondary school in Rotherham. Teacher of ICT/Computing

Location: Rotherham

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Tradewind Education are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of ICT/Computing to join a large and welcoming secondary school in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ambitious ECT looking for a full-time, long-term position in a supportive school environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality ICT/Computing lessons across the secondary age range, helping students develop both their technical knowledge and wider digital skills.

The Role
  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and inclusive ICT/Computing lessons.
  • Teach students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach GCSE Computing/ICT.
  • Develop students' understanding of computing, programming, digital literacy and related technologies.
  • Differentiate lessons effectively to meet the needs of students with a wide range of abilities.
  • Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and engagement.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated to learn.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Computing/ICT department and other members of staff.
  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development and school-wide initiatives.
  • Support students' academic, personal and social development.
  • Follow school policies and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching ICT, Computing or a closely related subject within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Computing and digital technologies.
  • The ability to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to raising student achievement and maintaining high expectations.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, flexible and professional approach.A valid DBS or willingness to obtain one through Tradewind Education.
