Job summary

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service is seeking an ICT professional to own and manage a portfolio of systems, ensuring security, effectiveness and alignment with user needs. You will oversee procurement, contract management and collaboration with users and suppliers to maintain service levels and value for money.

You will work within the wider ICT team to resolve issues, implement changes, and ensure staff are trained in system operation.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting, administering, developing or managing ICT systems and services would be beneficial.
• Strong transferable skills, willingness to learn and potential to excel in a public service organisation.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of ICT systems, ensure they are secure, effective and aligned to user requirements.
• Ensure systems are procured correctly and supplier contracts are well managed.
• Work with users and suppliers to ensure resilience, service levels and value for money.
• Contribute to key system delivery projects and provide guidance through changes and training.
