Job summary

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service is seeking an ICT professional to own and manage a portfolio of systems, ensuring security, effectiveness and alignment with user needs. You will oversee procurement, contract management and collaboration with users and suppliers to maintain service levels and value for money.

You will work within the wider ICT team to resolve issues, implement changes, and ensure staff are trained in system operation.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting, administering, developing or managing ICT systems and services would be beneficial.
  • Strong transferable skills, willingness to learn and potential to excel in a public service organisation.

Job description

An exciting opportunity to join a forward-looking ICT Team and help shape the systems that support a modern Blue Light Service.

Working alongside our experienced System Management Team you will help ensure that Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) have the right systems in place to deliver quality services that enable our Service to deliver for our communities.

You will take ownership of a portfolio of related ICT Systems, helping to ensure they remain secure, effective and aligned to organisational and user requirements. You will be responsible for making sure our systems are correctly procured, and Supplier Contracts are well managed. Working with our users and suppliers you will ensure they are resilient, meet our required Service Levels and delivery value for money.

As part of the wider ICT team, you will be working with Service Colleagues to resolve issues and deliver change. You will ensure user guides and procedures are correct and up to date, and that staff are suitably trained in the operation of our Systems. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to key System delivery projects within the Service
