Job summary

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service is seeking an ICT System Manager to join the forward-looking ICT Team at Service Headquarters in Birstall. You will own a portfolio of ICT systems, ensuring security, effectiveness and value delivery for users and the organisation.

Working with suppliers and staff, you will manage procurement, contracts and service levels, deliver changes, train users and contribute to key system delivery projects. Hybrid working may be considered.

Qualifications

• Experience with ICT systems and services would be beneficial is implied by the role.
• Ability to manage procurement and contract processes for ICT systems.

Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity to join a forward-looking ICT Team and help shape the systems that support a modern Blue Light Service.

Working alongside our experienced System Management Team you will help ensure that Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) have the right systems in place to deliver quality services that enable our Service to deliver for our communities.

You will take ownership of a portfolio of related ICT Systems, helping to ensure they remain secure, effective and aligned to organisational and user requirements. You will be responsible for making sure our systems are correctly procured, and Supplier Contracts are well managed. Working with our users and suppliers you will ensure they are resilient, meet our required Service Levels and delivery value for money.

As part of the wider ICT team, you will be working with Service Colleagues to resolve issues and deliver change. You will ensure user guides and procedures are correct and up to date, and that staff are suitably trained in the operation of our Systems. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to key System delivery projects within the Service
