Job summary

Wyre Forest District Council is seeking a self-motivated ICT professional to join our ICT Team. The role focuses on first line technical support via phone and email, logging calls, and providing technically accurate solutions.

You will handle user issues, maintain high standards of customer service, and be willing to work outside standard hours when required. DBS check will be undertaken.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Computing or equivalent.
• Studying for a degree in Computing or have completed an apprenticeship.
• Knowledge of PC hardware, software maintenance and MS Windows.

Responsibilities

• Providing first line technical support answering support queries via phone and email.
• Maintaining a high degree of customer service support.
• Taking ownership of user problems and proactively dealing with user issues.
• Logging all calls on the Councils helpdesk system.
• Escalating more complex calls to IT Support Engineers.
• Acquiring and maintaining knowledge of relevant products and support issues.
