Job summary

Yorkshire Water is hiring an ICA Technician to join our Asset Maintenance teams across West and South Yorkshire. You will maintain, repair and commission instrumentation, control and automation systems at treatment works, pumping stations and reservoirs, often working unsupervised in diverse locations.

We provide in-house training on PLCs, SCADA and instrumentation. The role includes a competitive salary (£41,815–£49,988), a company van or car/allowance after 12 months, and a strong benefits

Qualifications

• A recognised electrical craft or technician apprenticeship.
• National Certificate (ONC) or equivalent.
• City and Guilds/NVQ or equivalent electrical qualification.
• Ability to read and understand loop diagrams and electrical drawings.
• Ability to identify and rectify faults on electrical systems.
• Safe isolation to current IET regulations.

Responsibilities

• Work unsupervised in a wide variety of locations and complete planned and reactive ICA tasks on time.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, colleagues, suppliers and partners.
• Always work safely to agreed safe systems of work.
• Identify areas for improvement and submit mitigation to safety database.
• Maintain, repair and commission instrumentation, control, automation and telemetry across assets.
