Job summary

National Skills Agency is seeking an IAG & Work Experience Officer based around Strood to plan, source and manage work experience for a defined learner caseload. You will act as a key link between employers, centres and learners, ensuring compliant, well-managed placements and positive outcomes.

You will deliverInformation, Advice and Guidance (IAG) throughout learning journeys, working with centre teams to identify progression goals and opportunities.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance or above.
• Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths.
• Gatsby Benchmarks understanding.
• Experience sourcing employers for work experience.
• Experience delivering presentations and workshops.
• Ability to work with learners, centres and employers.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work travel.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate work experience with curriculum teams for meaningful learner opportunities.
• Source and maintain employer partnerships for work experience.
• Match learners to placements considering interests and goals.
• Ensure placements meet Health & Safety and Insurance requirements.
• Work with PSD tutors to prepare learners for the workplace.
• Support learners through work experience from initial prep to review.
• Coordinate with SEND and Compliance for ALS and welfare support.
• Arrange risk assessments and monitor attendance and progress.
• Collect feedback from employers and learners to gauge placement quality.
• Deliver high-quality IAG and conduct initial learner interviews.
• Support exploration of education, employment, Apprenticeships and training.
• Keep accurate IAG records and run employability workshops.
• Complete DBS applications where required.
