Job summary

National Skills Agency is seeking an IAG & Work Experience Officer to plan and deliver high-quality work experience placements for learners aged 16–19, and 16–25 with high needs. You will liaise with employers, centres and learners to source placements, ensure compliance and provide targeted IAG throughout their learning journey.

You will travel between centres, support sessions, and build strong partnerships to achieve KPIs. A driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) or above.
• Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
• Good knowledge of Study Programme requirements, especially work experience.
• Knowledge of Gatsby Benchmarks.
• Experience sourcing and securing employers for work experience.
• Experience delivering presentations and workshops.
• Experience delivering individual and group sessions.
• Experience building positive partnerships with stakeholders.
• Experience representing an organisation in outward-facing roles.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate work experience with curriculum teams to secure meaningful opportunities.
• Source and maintain employer partnerships and work experience options.
• Match learners to placements based on interests and goals.
• Ensure placements meet Health & Safety and insurance requirements.
• Plan and deliver sessions with centre teams to prep learners for work.
• Support learners through the work experience process from start to finish.
• Coordinate with SEND and Compliance teams for ALS and welfare support.
• Arrange individual risk assessments when needed.
• Monitor learner attendance and progress during placements.
• Collect feedback from employers and learners to assess quality and outcomes.
