Job summary

National Skills Agency is seeking an IAG & Work Experience Officer in Basildon. You will plan and deliver work experience placements for learners aged 16-19 on study programmes, and 16-25 with high needs, across multiple centres. Travel across locations is required; own vehicle is needed for business use.

You will also provide high-quality Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) throughout the learner journey, supporting progression towards education, training or employment goals.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) or above.
• A minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
• Knowledge of Study Programme requirements and Gatsby Benchmarks.
• Experience sourcing and securing employers for work experience.
• Experience delivering presentations and workshops.
• Experience developing relationships with stakeholders.
• A full UK driving licence and vehicle

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate work experience with curriculum teams.
• Source and maintain employer partnerships for placements.
• Match learners to placements based on interests and goals.
• Ensure placements meet health and safety and insurance requirements.
• Prepare learners for workplace expectations with PSD tutors.
• Support learners through placement matching to completion.
• Record attendance and progress; collect feedback.
• Provide high quality one-to-one and group IAG.
• Conduct initial learner interviews to identify needs and goals.
