Job summary

CSS Contracts Support Services Ltd is seeking experienced Night Shift Hygiene Operative Team Leaders to join our growing client team in Colchester.

You will lead a small team of Hygiene Operatives from 6pm to 3am on a 4 on/4 off pattern, with some weekends, ensuring cleaning tasks are completed to high standards, supporting food safety and regulatory compliance while maintaining production area hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of hygiene operatives to complete cleaning tasks.

• Dismantle equipment for deep cleaning.
• Maintain documentation and sign-offs.
• Provide cover for holidays and absences.
• Collaborate with Hygiene Manager to drive improvements.

We are seeking to recruit experienced and motivated Night Shift Hygiene Operative Team Leaders to join our clients growing team.

You will be responsible for leading a small team of Hygiene Operatives to ensure all cleaning activities are completed to the highest standards, supporting food safety, and maintaining compliance with company and customer requirements.

Working Hours

• 6pm – 3am
• 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
• Including some weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks as outlined in cleaning instruction cards and work schedules
• Lead and support a team of hygiene operatives
• Adhere to all health & safety and food safety procedures
• Perform daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning of machinery and production areas
• Dismantle equipment for thorough deep cleaning
• Safely handle and work with cleaning chemicals
• Complete and maintain all required documentation and sign-offs
• Provide cover for holidays and absences
• Work closely with the Hygiene Manager and Hygiene Supervisor to drive continuous improvement and maintain high factory standards
