Job summary

JDR Recruitment is seeking a Hygiene Operator for a leading food manufacturer on a 4 on 4 off night shift (18:00–06:00). The role involves working with the Hygiene and Manufacturing teams to uphold the highest hygiene standards and GMP practices on site.

You will handle housekeeping, waste stream management, and operate relevant equipment while supporting Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures. The successful candidate will contribute to Continuous Improvement and work as part of a

Qualifications

• Previous FMCG, GMP and housekeeping experience in food manufacturing.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Experience operating machinery and completing paperwork accurately.

Responsibilities

• Work with Hygiene and Manufacturing teams to maintain high hygiene standards.
• Ensure site hygiene and GMP compliance throughout manufacturing areas.
• Housekeeping and other GMP-related practices on site.
• Collaborate with team to follow Health and Safety procedures and drive improvements.
• Support waste stream management and equipment handling, escalating issues as needed.
• Contribute to the site Continuous Improvement programme.

Our Client is a leading food manufacturer where hygiene excellence drives product quality and safety.

Hygiene Operator - 4 on 4 off Rolling shifts - 18:00 - 06:00

The successful candidate must have the Right to Work in the UK.

Must have:

Previous experience in FMCG, GMP and Housekeeping in food manufacturing

What's the role about?

• The role of Hygiene Operative involves working closely with the Hygiene and Manufacturing teams
• Ensure our site has the highest standards of hygiene
• Housekeeping and other manufacturing practices (GMP)
• Working collaboratively with the team to adhere to and improve Health and Safety procedures is also key
• Day to day responsibilities include working with production maintaining waste areas and ensuring the correct waste streams are used as well as escalating issues to the Hygiene Technician
• Handling some chemicals and stripping and rebuilding of equipment
• You will also be required to contribute to the site Continuous Improvement programme

• Has had exposure or experience to Hygiene functions previously to ensure an understanding of purpose
• Be confident and competent in operating machinery and completing paperwork accurately
• Demonstrates a willingness to Raise the Bar, by seeking opportunities for improvement of our processes
• Have good communication skills and the ability work collaboratively with the Team, the Team Leader and key Stakeholders
