Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe at Ruskington site is hiring a Hygiene Team Leader for days with rotating shifts. You will manage a team, overseeing cleaning schedules, safety, and quality across morning or night shifts.

The role offers full-time permanent employment with 5 out of 6 days per week and a Sunday rest day. Successful candidates will drive standards, support the team in achieving results, and ensure compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, and Food Safety rules.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in hygiene or manufacturing environments.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills for shift records and checks.
• Good communication and motivational skills to manage operatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of operatives to ensure cleaning standards and schedules are met.
• Oversee hygiene, COSHH, and food safety compliance.
• Support and develop team members, addressing issues promptly.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for Hygiene Team Leader Days to join our team at Ruskington site!

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday rotating every 4 weeks. You will work 45 hours per week as standard on permanent morning or night shift.

Start & Finish times vary by department and as guidance you will either work

• Day shift - 04:30am - 13:30pm or 05:45am - 14:30pm
• Night shift: - Monday 20:15pm - 05:15am / Tuesday - Saturday 21:45pm - 05:15am

Successful candidates will lead team of operatives and ensure that work areas, machinery and equipment are cleaned to the highest standards and cleaning schedules are met at all times.

You will take ownership of you own work and support your team in achieving best results whilst ensuring everyone complies with Company Policies and Procedures, Health & Safety, COSHH and Food Safety rules at all times.

Your duties may involve working at heights, confined spaces, cold and warm environment.

It would be desirable for candidates to have:

• Previous Experience as Team Leader / Line Leader / Hygiene Department
• A good standard of literacy and numeracy skills.
• Positive thinking and self-motivation.
• Ability to use own initiative.
• An excellent attitude to work.
• A hands-on approach to solving issues.

Our ideal candidate will need strong communication skills, great attention to detail and ability to lead and motivate the team. Previous experience working in Hygiene Department is essential.
