Job summary

Pilgrim’s Europe in Hyde, Cheshire is seeking a Hygiene Operative to join our team. You will help maintain high cleanliness standards and ensure product safety in a busy food manufacturing environment.

The role offers a competitive monthly rate with the potential to earn over £500 per week, and a balanced shift pattern (06:00–18:00, 4 on/4 off) or (07:00–15:00, Monday to Friday).

Qualifications

• Experience in hygiene roles is beneficial.
• Must be able to wear PPE and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Direct responsibility for facility cleanliness and adherence to cleaning standards.
• Wear PPE and maintain safe working practices.
• Follow standard work and report safety concerns promptly.
• Ensure high levels of cleanliness and safety across tasks.
• Maintain records of cleaning completed to standard.

Balanced Schedule: We have a shift pattern of working 07.00am-15.00pm Monday to Friday shift pattern, giving you more time for yourself.

Job Purpose

To be a key hygiene team member, delivering the required hygiene standards for the site. Have a strong focus on colleague safety and product quality.

Key Accountabilities

• Direct responsibility for facility cleanliness ensuring standard work is adhered to at all times.
• Wear all required PPE to ensure all tasks are completed safely.
• Follow standard work, ensuring any safety concerns are raised to the right person at the right time.
• We require proactive and hardworking staff to work as part of a team which has direct responsibility for facility cleanliness. Ensuring at all times the highest degree of cleanliness and safety
• Stationery and canteen stock keeping, stock rotation and ordering. Delivering business success through our people
• Laundry service
• Filling out records to confirm cleaning completed to a high standard
• Have safety as a key priority while completing any tasks.
• Only carry out tasks that training has been provided for and sit within the team members area of responsibility (e.g., do not operate equipment you are not authorised to use).
• Ensure that all tasks carried have been formally risk assessed.
• Embrace Go for Zero and promote positive behaviours and encourage other team members to work safely, when unsafe practices have been observed. Produce Excellent Results
• Document hygiene sign off records when machinery has been cleaned to the correct standard.
